Saviour Rejected (Betrayal revised)
I am the open door
The one that won’t slam in your face
I am the one with the gavel and the white wig
A judge who doesn’t do his title
I am the lock that has been opened too many times
Exposing what I hold inside
Only to have the key break off
I am the bomb with the short fuse
The fuse that has been lit but never seems to ignite
I am the rope that is always around your neck
And with one wrong word, tightens
I am the ears to which you confess
The mind which gives solutions to your problems
The shoulder that you cry on
I am the lungs that revived you time and time again
I am the heart that was ripped from trust
And bled to no end for you
I am stomach that would not keep you down
I was the trust that you held dear
And now I hold you dead
For you are the one who ignited this wildfire
And NOTHING burns like betrayal
