The Gentleman
She went for a walk with Oliver Klosoff
In the middle of a hot July day.
Children were playing with garden hoses
In their front yards, while their fathers
Indulged themselves with ice cold beer
On the front porch.
They passed many a front porch
Without any children noticing she was with Oliver Klosoff
However, the men with their ice cold beer
Stared in disbelief on this hot July day.
With alcohol on their breath, the fathers
Sent the children inside, and began playing with their garden hoses.
Thick and long were their garden hoses
As they handled them in the yard near the front porch.
She chuckled and waved to the fathers,
As they must have been excited to see her with Oliver Klosoff.
It was on this hot July day
That she was cooler than any ice cold beer.
The sweat on the bottle of the ice cold beer
Was nothing compared to the sweat on the garden hoses
The men had worked up on the hot July day.
After she passed, the men sat on the steps of the front porch
And thought of their wives with Oliver Klosoff
And how awesomeness and delightfulness could be his fathers.
As she walked along the sidewalk, she thought of the fathers
And the way they chugged the bottles of ice cold beer
As they watched her with the god-like gentleman, Oliver Klosoff.
The men daydreamed of the two on the front porch,
Clutching their garden hoses
In the afternoon of the hot July day.
Shortly after she passed by on the hot July day,
The men decided to act less like men and more like fathers.
So in a drunken stagger, they left the front porch,
Still clutching onto their ice cold beer.
They put their away their garden hoses,
And told their wives they should go walking with Oliver Klosoff.
It was on this hot July day, with the aid of ice cold beer,
That the fathers played with their garden hoses
And watched her from the front porch with Oliver Klosoff.
